Diamond Custom Panels, instrument panels for scale models
I just received two custom instrument panels from Diamond Custom Panels (http://www.diamond-panels.com/)
for my Pitts Model 12. They came out really nice, and were easy to obtain.
Photocopied the shape of the front and rear panels from the plans, and supplied
the dimensions. Faxed these two pages to Florida, and sent photos from
full scale planes as attachments to an e-mail. In about a week they
arrived. This company's products are very competitively priced too.
Spoke with Joe on the telephone after receiving the panels. He has given
this art form a great deal of thought. You can see photos of ones he already has
available, or send an e-mail telling him what you want. Just be aware that
the photos don't do justice to the finished goods. Although they look good
online, my panels look much better in person than on his website. Its a
painless process and the end result looks good. The way he constructs
them, you won't have knobs flying around inside of your canopy six months from
now, as you do with some panels on the market today. Steve
